For those of you who make your daily commute on the highway, you may want to take note of this critical detail before you start your engines! As reported by the Malay Mail, PLUS will no longer be providing any Touch’n Go reloading services at any of their toll plaza exit lanes starting from 5th November 2019!
In a statement released just today (4th November 2019), the new change was done in order to help reduce congestion that is apparently caused by reloading activities that are being conducted at toll plazas operating in the northern (Hutan Kampung and Ipoh Utara) and southern regions (Seremban and Skudai).
But fear not, as the usual customer care service centres as well as reload booths at entry lanes in selected toll plazas will still be operating as usual. Apparently according to statistical data, reloading one Touch ‘n Go card can take upwards of 3 minutes, which delays the travelling time of each motorist.
As such, you are advised to plan ahead and make sure that your Touch ‘n Go card contains enough money for your entire journey. After all, there are already over 11,000 reload facilities throughout the country, which includes select ATM machines, petrol stations, rest areas and selected convenience stores.
PLUS will also be working with Touch ‘n Go Sdn Bhd to ensure that all Touch ‘n Go kiosks are in working order to better facilitate this process.
Well, now that you know about the news, it’s probably a good idea to go and check to see if your Touch’n Go card has enough money for the drive home later tonight!
