A 16-year-old student at a school in Bandar Utama, Petaling Jaya, Selangor, lost her life in an attack today (14 October).
She was stabbed by a Form 2 male student, who is 14 years old, with a knife that the suspect brought to the school.

At the time of writing, Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) officers are conducting investigations at the scene, and the Petaling Jaya district Police Chief was also spotted at the crime scene, as reported by Sinar Harian.
In another report by Sin Chew, PDRM received a report about the shocking matter at 9:39 AM today, and officers were immediately deployed to the school. The 14-year-old suspect has been arrested by the police, who also confiscated a Scout knife at the scene.
Moreover, the school has been cordoned off to allow the investigation work.
At the moment, PDRM has yet to release an official statement about the matter. In another report by Buletin TV3, the suspect also stabbed other students, injuring them.

In a report by Berita Harian, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP), Datuk Seri Mohd Khalid Ismail, said that the stabbing incident took place outside the classroom, but within the school compound.
The motive of the murder is still under investigation, and the IGP vowed to investigate the matter immediately. Stay tuned as we keep you updated.
