In a sad turn of events, it has just been revealed that 24-year-old Muhammad Adib Mohd Kassim, the fireman who sustained critical injuries during the Seafield temple riot, has passed away at 9.41pm today (17th December).
His passing was confirmed by Housing and Local Government Minister Zuraida Kamaruddin. He was previously reported to be in critical condition yesterday after his lungs and kidneys suffered progressive deterioration over 24 hours.

The fireman initially showed signs of improvement after being transferred to the National Heart Institute (IJN) on 28th November. He had reportedly suffered a broken rib and a punctured lung during the riots at the Seafield Sri Maha Mariamman temple on 27th November 2018. Muhammad Adib was also supposed to get married in December 2018.
