For those who don’t know, bonsai trees are pretty expensive because of the work put into each one to ensure that they are in the best shape and kept healthy at all times. Compared to some of the more common plants and trees, they require much care and attention.

So, it is no surprise that some might be a little upset if their prized bonsai trees were stolen in the middle of the night. Well, that’s exactly what happened to TikTok user @mrblackgee3212, who often posts videos of his bonsai collection.

He recently shared a video consisting of CCTV footage of thieves who had gone up to his home and stolen two of his bonsai trees within three days.

In the video, he wrote, “I hope that the whereabouts of my beloved bonsai will be found.”

Fortunately, a few days ago, the Kubang Pasu police helped him reunite with his beloved bonsai.

Alhamdulillah… thank you to the JSJ IPD Kubang Pasu squad for their hard work and patience in dealing with my case of stolen bonsai.”

In a report, the TikToker shared that his bonsai was found within 24 hours of lodging a police report. He stated that both individuals have been arrested and may face a prison sentence of eight months for stealing plants.

He also explained that the stolen bonsai had taken about four years to grow to that state and that if he sold them, he could get thousands of ringgit.

“The kid who stole it admitted that he was a fan of bonsai. But he’s on a different level, such high taste but can only steal from others,” he added.

Netizens in the comments section couldn’t believe such individuals would go through such a hassle to steal some plants.
