A Malaysian man is currently being hailed as the best boss in Malaysia after he spent millions purchasing new cars for his employees.

According to a report by China Press, the Malaysian man, who runs the Warakuya Japanese Restaurant as well as the 天王巨星Superstar Family KTV chain, spent RM1.8 million to buy BMW 6 Series vehicles for 4 of his ‘veteran’ employees.

“These  cars are to be given to four ‘old ministers‘ who worked with me to build the company, to thank them for their contributions,” he said. The 4 employees include a C-suite executive and 3 outlet managers from across Malaysia.

He added that he chose BMWs for the 4 employees as BMWs are considered a symbol of status and are more comfortable and drivable.

On top of that, he also bought vehicles ranging from Audis, Toyotas, Hondas and Protons for promoted employees.

In total, he spent RM3.134 million to purchase new cars for 31 employees, which will be delivered in stages throughout the rest of this year. Even his foreign employees received new cars!

Considering some of these foreign employees do not have driver’s licenses, the boss is planning on sending them for the test to obtain their licenses.

“Including Nepali or Myanmar employees, the company will ask them to take a driving test and the company will also pay for the driving test fees,” he explained.

For some of these employees, it is the second time their boss has gifted them with a BMW. Additionally, a receptionist was among those who received an Audi.
