You cannot call yourself a Malaysian if you have never fallen in love with this sinful indulgence that kept your fingers orange for at least three hours straight, Super Ring.
Which is exactly why we can relate to the members of popular K-pop girl group BlackPink, Jisoo and Jennie, when they had fell head over heels for this lustful snack.
Retweeted by @moonstarbyulie was a picture of our childhood junk food, which has now been popularised in South Korea thanks to the two superstars. Each packet is sold at the price of 1,200 won or RM4.30 per packet.
“Wahh.. .Malaysian favourite snack is finally sold in Korea but it’s so expensive. The impact of Jisoo and Jennie.”

Apparently, the two were first introduced to the snack when they were in Singapore. A fan handed Jennie a bag of Super Ring, and because of its heavenly burst of flavours, they had been dreaming of it since.
Finally, when they had a concert in Malaysia and found the snack in 7-11, the two squealed at the sight of it because they couldn’t contain the joy they felt.
And of course, being Malaysian, we are both amazed and proud that these international popular artists acknowledged our snacks and made them internationally popular as well.
“Super Ring in Korea?? Perghh, that’s my favorite snack!”
We can’t thank them enough for making our local snack a hit. Maybe Super Ring will get a new ambassador eh?
