The body of the last Batang Kali’s landslide victim has been found and taken out yesterday (24 December 2022) at approximately 5pm. He was the 31st victim of the landslide tragedy.

According to Hulu Selangor OCPD Supt Suffian Abdullah, the body was found inside a sleeping bag. He also told reporters that the victim was fully clothed but the body has started to decompose when discovered.

In a Facebook statement, the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) stated that the operation that started as early as 7.30 am was concentrated in Sector A (Hillview) with various assets from related agencies. That includes the PDRM and involved 10 tracking dogs (K9) and excavators to facilitate the search and rescue (SAR) operation.
