People in Bangkok had a major shock yesterday when a shooting happened at the Siam Paragon Mall. A 14-year-old suspect was eventually apprehended by the police but unfortunately, not before 3 victims were killed and a few other injuries.
The shooting has left the survivors traumatised, and according to a report by Al-Jazeera, the suspect, who was wearing a USA flag cap is said to be suffering from mental illnesses.
He used a mock handgun that had been modified to fire real bullets. Just today, multiple videos shared via @applejuice TikTok and images showed the suspect allegedly attending gun training at a shooting range prior to the mall shooting.
According to posts by Attentive Media on its X page, the suspect would allegedly updated his friends on Discord and send memes taunting his own death. Not long before the shooting, he unfriended everyone on Discord, the platform where he shared his gun lessons.
The picture below shows the suspect allegedly training with a handgun, and the other with a shotgun.
He seems to know his way around these lethal weapons, and he is merely 14.
Attentive Media also reported that an anonymous source shared a screenshot from Discord, which revealed that the suspect allegedly called himself “Acez birthday celebration”. The suspect had an intention to kill himself and stream the process to everyone.
Another anonymous source also stated that the shooter’s dad was abusive and the suspect himself would frequently send videos of him at a shooting range to his mum. His friends on Discord also claimed that he has never shown any signs of mental illnesses but he would get emotional frequently.
You can watch his gun training below.
