A small act of kindness goes a long way.
In a recent video that’s been going around online, a heartwarming moment shows a man meeting an aunty at his apartment who needed a bit of help.
No one wanted to help the aunty
In a video shared via @mynewshub, the man shared how he came across an aunty at his apartment area asking passers-by to help her book an e-hailing ride.
He also mentioned that she wanted a ride so she could go and grab breakfast for herself.
“She asked for help to book an e-hailing cab so she could go buy breakfast. Not a single person wanted to help her,” he explained.
When the aunty asked the man for help booking a ride, he couldn’t bring himself to let her take a cab alone, so he decided to drive her himself instead.
The aunty wanted to send him food as a thank-you
During the ride, she shared that her kids live overseas, so she’s been taking care of herself, and she mentioned how much she misses them.
“She’s a legend in the area, having lived in the apartment for 26 years. She even asked for my apartment number so she could send me lunch. I told her all I wanted in return was for her to pray that everything goes smoothly for me this year.”
He added that he believes helping people in need doesn’t cost anyone anything and that it could even lighten the other person’s load instead.
