Birthdays are a joyous occasion where many people would be surrounded by their loved ones and plenty of gifts. Just recently an Asian woman has complained on social media that her boyfriend is mad at her.

In her post she said,

“My boyfriend gave me his credit card and told me to buy a birthday gift for myself. Since he has given me the ‘green light’, I’m definitely going to go all out.”

“Along with the deals given on 11.11 and 12.12, I bought up to $30,000TWD (RM4,338) worth of gifts but he got mad at me.”

Following that, she revealed that when she was purchasing all her gifts, her boyfriend was in a work meeting and wasn’t allowed to bring his phone in. When he found out that she spent up to $30,000TWD (RM4,338) through the e-receipts that he received in his phone he was furious.

“He called me and yelled at me asking why I spent so much, and I got angry at him. I told him that he was the one who gave me his card, why is he mad at me for buying gifts for myself now?”, she said.

She then mentioned that her boyfriend is asking her to return the $30,000TWD (RM4,338) she had spent and ended the post saying that her boyfriend threatened to take legal actions against her if she doesn’t pay up.

It’s best to set boundaries and make sure that both parties are on the same page so that unwanted arguments can be avoided.

Do you think she went overboard by spending that much money? Let us know in the comments below.
