Have you ever wondered why Starbucks is one of the biggest coffee brands in the world? Or why people still choose to go for Starbucks when they can easily get a glass of Kopi o kosong at the price of RM1.50? It’s still coffee anyway.

Well, one of the reasons Starbucks is so successful is because of its concept. Of course, you can get cheaper coffee in mamak stalls, but can you have the same comfortable ambience like you do when you’re in Starbucks? Probably not. Plus it’s always nice to indulge in a little luxury coffee once in a while right?

If you love Starbucks, then take a look at these nine unique Starbucks stores that you should definitely visit in Malaysia!

1. Starbucks, Jalan Green Hall

This Starbucks store is located inside a heritage building at the UNESCO Heritage Sites of Georgetown. Together with the antique doors, old wooden windows, and mosaic tiles, the architecture of this outlet resembles simpler times. No doubt, you’ll feel a historical vibe in the midst of the inviting ambience.

Location: 1, Jalan Green Hall, George Town, 10200 George Town, Pulau Pinang

2. Starbucks, Berjaya Hills

If you’re dreaming of drinking a cup of coffee in a Paris-like town, this store fits best for you! Furthermore, it is located on top of a hill where you get to see the scenic view of Pahang.

A sip of the warmth down your throat and a breath-taking sight in front of your eyes? What a lovely combination!

Location: Bukit Tinggi, 28750 Bentong, Pahang

3. Starbucks, Malim Jaya

Location: Jalan Suria 2, Taman Malim Jaya, 75250 Malim Jaya, Melaka

4. Starbucks Reserve, Bukit Bintang Junction

Do you know what’s a Starbucks Reserve?

Based on the official Starbucks site, Starbucks Reserve is a “selection of the rarest, most extraordinary coffees Starbucks has to offer.” This is where the baristas would go beyond their ordinary crafting limits to create a special roast for each individual.

The opening of this store also signified the 300th outlet in Malaysia. A combination of the high-arched windows with dazzlingly beautiful dangling lights has attracted a huge wave of customers to hop in and get a coffee. Not forgetting, the exposed bricks also play a role in increasing its ‘instagrammable’ value.

Location: 46, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Bukit Bintang, 50250 Kuala Lumpur, Wilayah Persekutuan Kuala Lumpur

5. Starbucks Signing Store, Bangsar Village II

110008431 187291726113243 4557063650869853782 N

This is the first Starbucks store in the world that hires deaf people as baristas and staff. It’s such a heartwarming act done by Starbucks Malaysia and The Society of Interpreters for the Deaf (S.I.D.) where they work together to facilitate and coach deaf partners. Besides, the customers would also get to immerse themselves in the beauty of sign language.

So let’s support these wonderful beings!

So, we have Starbucks on top of a hill, and now, we have Starbucks by the sea!

This is another perfect spot for you to enjoy your coffee if you want to unplug from reality for a short moment. Sounds of waves splashing onto the shore and smells of coffee accompanied by hints of the sea. These are absolutely one of the best escapes in life. Get a seat by the glass windows for a better experience!

Location: 69, Jalan Batu Ferringhi, 11100 Batu Ferringhi, Pulau Pinang

9. Starbucks, Chin Swee Caves Temple

And last but not least, this Starbucks Store is special as it’s located inside the majestic temple with beautiful mountains as the backdrop. Gigantic statues like Kuan Yin and Buddha, delicate sculptures of animals as well as the inscriptions of Chinese traditions and beliefs are all set within the temple grounds.

This is definitely the best spot for you to get a coffee if you want to know more about the Chinese culture.
