Members of the Seberang Perai Tengah District Civil Defence Force (APM) have successfully rescued two stray dogs that somehow ended up on an electricity tower in the middle of the Penang Strait.
The Penduduk Pulau Pinang & Seberang Perai Facebook page shared details of how the rescue operation was carried out with the assistance of several parties.

The social media post stated:
“Two stray dogs that were trapped under the structure of an electricity tower owned by Tenaga Nasional Berhad (TNB P7) in the middle of the sea were successfully rescued by members of the Malaysian Civil Defence Force (APM) of the Seberang Perai Tengah District.”
The rescue operation was conducted with the assistance of the Marine Police Force and local fishermen, who provided a boat to transport team members to the site. Both dogs were subsequently brought safely back to shore. In the images shared, rescuers can be seen comforting the frightened animals during the extraction.
Alerted by a Good Samaritan

The page administrators went on to explain that the dogs were saved after a kind-hearted citizen reported their plight.
“The incident was reported to have occurred on Saturday (7 March) at the electricity tower near the Penang Bridge. The APM received an emergency call from a complainant, Rohafiz, via the hotline at 9:53 AM, after which the team was immediately deployed to the location to carry out the rescue operation,” the update added.
