Fresh from the road rage incident involving a 50-year-old Malaysian man who repeatedly hit a Perodua Axia with his Toyota Hilux, which landed him an RM1,300 fine, another road incident in Johor Bahru, Johor, involving a 4-wheel-drive pickup truck has caught the attention of Malaysians.
This time, it involves a black Mitsubishi L200 Triton hitting a motorcyclist when changing lanes before driving away.

Dashcam footage of the incident has been circulating online, including in this Facebook post by Community Roda Johor – CRJ, which shows the pickup truck driving on the right lane suddenly switching lanes and hitting a motorcyclist who was riding on the middle lane.
This causes the motorcyclist and his Yamaha 135LC to fall and skid on the road multiple times due to the impact.

However, instead of slowing down and stopping, the Mitsubishi L200 Triton continued driving before the video abruptly ends.

The 29-year-old pickup truck driver tested negative for drugs or alcohol
In a statement, Johor Bahru Utara District Police Chief ACP Balveer Singh A/L Mahindar Singh confirmed that the police have taken notice of the viral video and have since received a police report by the victim, a 32-year-old Malaysian man, on 26 June 2025.
Balveer Singh added that the incident took place on the same day at around 11.30am at kilometre 10 of Jalan Johor Bahru towards Skudai when the victim was riding his motorcycle on the middle lane.

As a result of the incident, the victim suffered injuries on his face, hands, hip and leg. He received treatment at the Taman Universiti Health Clinic in Skudai, Johor.
Meanwhile, the driver of the pickup truck didn’t suffer any injuries. The Johor Bahru District Police Chief revealed that the driver is a 29-year-old Malaysian man, and a urine test found him to be negative for drugs and alcohol.
Balveer Singh said that the case is currently being investigated under Section 43(1) of the Road Transport Act 1987 for careless and inconsiderate driving.
The provision prescribes a punishment of up to 12 months in jail and a fine between RM5,000 and RM10,000 for a first conviction.
