Angry at Being Ignored, M’sian Tries to Bring His Dog into a Shah Alam Mall to Provoke Gold Store Staff

The action of a Malaysian man caused a commotion at a mall in Shah Alam recently after he angrily tried to bring his pet dog inside the mall to provoke a gold store staff there following a heated argument.

Circulating online, a video of the incident shared by @update11111 on X (formerly Twitter) has since gone viral, garnering over 522,100 views and more than 2,100 likes as of the time of writing.

At the start of the video, the man’s pet dog can be seen tied at a seating area just outside the mall.

The man can then be seen walking hurriedly towards his dog while smoking a cigarette. He then brings the dog to the entrance of the mall before being stopped by security personnel.

Police revealed that the suspect was angry after being ignored by the gold store staff

The Shah Alam District Police has since released a statement on the incident, revealing that it took place on 17 October and that three separate police reports were made by the suspect and witnesses at the location.

Investigations found that the man had tied his dog outside of the mall before visiting a gold store there to purchase 1kg of gold.

However, the suspect then became angry after being ignored by the staff at the gold store and reacted by hurling insults and obscenities at the worker.

A heated argument then broke out, forcing the mall’s security personnel to be peacemakers. The suspect was then escorted out of the mall.

However, the suspect then tried to make a scene by bringing his dog inside the mall, but the attempt was unsuccessful as the security personnel managed to stop him from doing so.

Accordingly, the Shah Alam District Police has opened two investigation papers on the incident under Sections 323 and 290 of the Penal Code, Section 14 of the Minor Offences Act 1955, as well as Section 233 of the Communications and Multimedia Act 1998.
