Just days ago, Malaysians were called upon to find a young lady who had ran away from home to commit the unthinkable, only to be destroyed by the heartbreaking news of her demise.
Now, her family is speaking out on what happened to the late Ang Hui Enn that led to her taking her own life.
According to a report by Sin Chew Daily, she was initially studying computer technology in China when she came back to Malaysia just before the Covid-19 lockdowns. When borders reopened, she had refused to return to China to continue her studies.
“In recent months, her friends reached out to us saying that she had lost contact with them. At that time, we asked her about her situation but she was unwilling to say much. She usually does not like to go out, and likes to stay at home.”
“Additionally, there was nothing unusual about how she got along with our family, so we didn’t ask anymore questions,” shared her cousins.
There were no signs before the incident and her family did not know that she had also sought the help of a psychiatrist
“She doesn’t have a boyfriend, she’s a very well-behaved girl, but she’s a bit reserved, and she likes to read comics. She also participated in martial arts and 24 Festive Drum activities,” they added.
The cousins have since cautioned everyone to pay attention to their loved ones and shared a message to those who may be feeling what Ang Hui Enn felt prior to her death.
“Don’t think that you are worthless. If you need help, please ask your family for it. Your family will always have your back,” they said.
Ang Hui Enn’s funeral will be held tomorrow (April 28) in a Taoist ceremony.
Our sincerest condolences to Ang Hui Enn’s family. We hope that she rests in peace.
