Now that we’re all sitting at home, unable to go out or roam free, we know how zoo animals feel (still not entirely because there are no one staring at us and taunting us to do things for the camera).
Luckily, thanks to the lack of foot traffic, zoos are allowing their animals to have ‘field trips’ around their premises to visit other animals!
For example, the Texas State Aquarium decided to let their sloth have a day out to explore the underwater world and visit the dolphins, as showcased on their Facebook page.

They wrote, “With the aquarium temporarily closed, Chico the sloth had the opportunity for a close-up and personal meeting with some of our dolphins. Liko and Schooner were very curious, and Liko was even inspired to attempt an upside-down sloth impression.”
The dolphins certainly look completely mesmerized by the sloth while the sloth, well, looks like it might have been asleep!
Considering the fact that the dolphins have probably never seen a sloth before, it’s completely understandable that they were probably feeling a wave of excitement upon seeing the sloth.
I know I would have freaked out.
We can’t wait to see more animals roaming around and exploring while we’re all inside!
