Many of us thought Adeline would stop after her live FB sessions were criticised but we’re proven wrong. From dodging e-hailing fares to finding unexpected fame online, this time, Adeline was caught trying to evade paying for a sunny-side-up egg.
In a Facebook post last night (May 12) by DayOne DayOne小時光 銷魂麺舖, the infamous Adeline visited the SS2 outlet for dinner alone. According to the Facebook post, Adeline ordered a set of noodles that came with a bowl of vegetarian soup, and she got herself 2 additional eggs.
Trouble erupted when Adeline refused to pay for 1 of the eggs. She said she had only eaten 1 but CCTV perfectly captured her eating both.
According to the receipt shared by the noodle house, Adeline’s meal cost nearly RM60. Each additional egg was priced at RM2.50.
Adeline, who refused to pay for both eggs, went around the restaurant and disturbed other customers who were enjoying their meals, and asked them if they could pay for her.
“Can you pay RM2.50 for me?” Adeline asked 1 of the customers who was paying his bill at the counter who ignored her.
“Adeline disturbed the 2nd table, and now she’s talking to customers on the 3rd table. She refuses to pay and doesn’t want to leave,” the PIC of the restaurant said.
Adeline, who was busy “talking” to the customers ignored the fact that she was followed and recorded. Some customers asked Adeline,
“You’ve made so much from live FB sessions. Why are you still not paying?”
The PIC saw no choice and she eventually called the police. 2 officers came to the scene and after a brief conversation, 1 of the officers unexpectedly settled the bill for Adeline!
But why?
According to a report, the founder of the noodle house managed to speak to the kind policemen who settled the bill. The officers were new in town, and they had no idea about Adeline’s viral news.
“Judging from the CCTV footage, the officers thought she had no money for the meal and felt sympathy for her. So, they paid the bill.”
Another founder of the noodle house, Dato Eve Chan will also meet the officers and return them the RM60. In the meantime, you can watch a couple of videos below showing Adeline going around to “ask for help”, and proving that she had eaten both eggs.
Thank you, kind officers, for having empathy. We hope Adeline will not abuse the trust in the future.
