A video has caught the attention of netizens after an elderly man, believed to be suffering from health issues, was involved in a minor fender bender while driving in Johor.
In the footage, the elderly driver, who had collided with a metal road divider, is seen being attended to by a group of firefighters. He can be heard explaining that he could not exit his vehicle because he was unable to walk.
Abang Bomba’s compassion in action
One of the firefighters, @norman_affan, who uploaded the video to his TikTok account, revealed in the comments that the man had undergone dialysis shortly before the incident, confirming his fragile health.
Later in the video, Norman is heard politely asking the man if he had sustained any injuries. Realising that waiting for an ambulance might take some time, he personally offered to drive the man to the hospital.
Norman and his colleagues carefully lifted the man into the backseat of the car, after which Norman took the wheel and safely transported him to the medical facility.
“May this pak cik recover, and may all his affairs in this world and the hereafter be made easy,” Norman wrote in his caption.
