About a month ago, we saw an irrational fear being unlocked when a python slithered up a Thai man’s toilet and bit him in the testicles.
And while some of us assumed that this was something that may only happen overseas, that theory has now been proven WRONG!
The Balai Bomba Ipoh recently took to their Facebook page to showcase how a python had managed to slither up into a toilet through the sewage system at a housing area in Ipoh, Perak.
They wrote, “Special snake catching services. (We received a) panicked phone call after the appearance of a snake through the sewage system. This incident took place at Taman Cempaka, Ipoh.”
In the images shown, the snake could be seen peeking up the toilet with its head clearly visible.
The snake was identified as a common, non-venomous reticulated python (Malayopython reticulatus), which is native to South and Southeast Asia.
Considering how many Malaysians didn’t realise that this is something that could actually happen, they shared their new-found fear of snakes in a toilet!
“I used to think that this (only happens) in stories but it turns out that there are real incidents. Oh man.”
“It’s scary to go to the toilet.”
“The home owner is going to have a phobia of pooping.”
“Oh man, (what if) it bites your butt while you’re pooping!”
What would you do if you found a snake in your toilet? Do feel free to share your thoughts in the comment section.
