An unclaimed bag found at the baggage carousel of the Penang International Airport (LTAPP) was allegedly found to contain drugs worth RM1.6 million.
According to a report by Sinar Harian, the State Customs Director, Rohaizad Ali, shared that the bag was found by operations officers from the LTAPP Passenger Inspection Branch (CPP) Customs Office on Wednesday (March 4).

He explained that the bag was believed to have been brought down from an overseas flight, but the owner’s details have yet to be determined.
“The inspection results found 29 transparent packages containing dried plants suspected of being marijuana. The estimated gross weight of the dried plants is 16,210 grams, and the market value is around RM1.6 million,” he added.
Kosmo, on the other hand, reported that the bag arrived on a flight from China.
