New restaurants and eateries keep popping up on social media, offering a nuance of dishes that is either a bang for your buck or can break your bank.
This is an example of the latter.
Taking to social media, this netizen Tzeyung Toh shared his experience having to pay RM6,888 for an gold encrusted A5 Wagyu Tomahawk from the Miyazaki prefecture when he visited a restaurant in Kuching.
In the receipt, you can see that he paid a whopping RM13,057.90 for his meal which includes foie gras, Wagyu Beef and an A5 Wagyu Tomahawk.
Commending the restaurant on a job well done, here is what the netizen had to say about his meal.
“I hope I can break this record again in the future.”
“The food was top notch and it is really exciting to eat.”
Netizens had mixed responses to the man’s post with most commenting that the Tomahawk looked a little to rare for their liking.
One netizen writes, “How can a tomahawk be cooked like this? It is so raw.”
Another even pointed out that the meat may be fake.
“Japanese Wagyu is usually pink. That one looks fake.”
Maybe they are just salty that some can actually spend that amount for food.
