In the anonymous sharing, the man revealed that he’s 26 years old this year with a monthly salary of RM6,000 and had bought a BMW S1000RR 2023 superbike.

For context, the superbike is priced at over RM129,000 in Malaysia.

However, it seems that the purchase wasn’t such a wise decision as the man asserted that he regretted buying the superbike,

He added that after renewing the superbike’s road tax and sending it for maintenance service, he’s only left with RM50 to spend on food, despite it only being in the middle of the month.

The man asserted,

“Regret. It’s true what people say about superbikes being a hobby for the wealthy. Not a necessity… Now it’s the middle of the month, and after renewing the road tax, sending it for service and others, I’m only left with RM50 for food.”

“Not sure if it can survive me until the end of the month,” he added.

Learn from this man’s mistake and practise proper money management

In the comments section, many Malaysians shared their 2 cents about the man’s regretful purchase and cautioned others about making such a bad financial decision.

One commenter shared that the man should’ve spent within his means and that he could’ve bought many other cheaper motorcycles out there.

Meanwhile, another commenter said that an RM6,000 salary itself is not enough for expenditure if one doesn’t have the proper money management.

One netizen echoed the same sentiment, saying that an RM6,000 salary is never enough to own a luxury superbike, as even those with 5-figure salaries would think twice before getting the superbike.
