There are many people out there who depend on their boyfriend/girlfriend to get certain things such as the latest Louis Vuitton handbag or the best iPhone there is.

Many would try their best to accommodate those requests, such as this 26-year-old Malaysian who just started working 4 months ago.

According to a confession post on X (formerly known as Twitter), the man only has a basic salary of RM2,000. However, his girlfriend has been asking him for a variety of expensive things such as an engagement ring and for him to buy a Honda.

Other than that, she also specified that she wanted an iPhone and not just any model.

“She asked for an iPhone. I wanted to give her an iPhone 13 but she didn’t want it. Only wanted the iPhone 15 Pro so I had to take a loan.”

The man then ended the post by saying that having a girlfriend like this is a lot of work but they already met each other’s family.

Many netizens in the comments advised the 26-year-old to run.

“Run. Debts will always create new problems. It doesn’t matter if the family knows you because the one who needs to shoulder the burden is only you, not anyone else. We want to live happily in the long term so just save up your money to invest. She doesn’t deserve a good man like you.”

Another netizen added, “Run, it’s better to make your parents happy first rather than satisfy a person whom you’re uncertain if they’ll be your wife. Plus, if you buy it, then she will ask for more as she thinks that you’re capable. Hope that you meet a better woman.”
