Malaysia has recorded yet another all-time high of 7,857 new Covid-19 cases as of 27 May 2021.
Selangor continues to hold the highest number of cases among all the states with 2,675 cases.
The breakdown of cases by state are as follows:
- Selangor – 2,675
- Sabah – 217
- Johor – 549
- Kuala Lumpur – 561
- Sarawak – 772
- Penang – 365
- Kelantan – 754
- Negeri Sembilan – 353
- Perak – 228
- Kedah – 441
- Melaka – 234
- Pahang – 238
- Terengganu – 282
- Labuan – 170
- Putrajaya – 12
- Perlis – 6
A graph shared by Health Director-General Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah shows that cases have been increasing exponentially daily while the death toll is also getting higher by the day.
As of 26 May, the infectivity rate stood at 1.17 nationwide which is a slight drop as compared to the previous days.

Nevertheless, we are nowhere close to the end of this pandemic in the country, so please do your part to curb the spread of Covid-19.
