What a tragedy!

According to the New Straits Times, a little girl unexpectedly passed away yesterday after choking to death from eating a longan fruit in her Kelantan home.

The child, named Nor Aina Fariha Mohd Fadzil, was eating the fruit when she began to yell for help at around 7pm in the evening. Upon hearing her cries for help, Aina’s father rushed to her aid. He told the daily,

“I immediately rushed to her and she told me that she was choking on the fruit. I tried to pull the fruit out of her throat but failed.”

“I called my wife and we immediately sent her to Bachok health clinic but she was pronounced dead while receiving treatment.”

Although the child’s death came out of nowhere, Aina’s father said that he and his family have accepted the tragedy as fate.

The child was buried in Kampung Kandis earlier today (21st August) and her funeral was attended by 30 family members and friends, who mourned her brief life.

We never truly realise how fragile life is until something tragic like this happens. Our condolences go out to the family of this young girl and we hope they can find strength during this difficult time.
