6yo Malaysian Girl Tragically Dies After Getting Stuck Between Legs of Folding Table

A tragic incident took place when a young girl was found unconscious after playing alone at her family’s home near Taman Seri Putera on December 1st.

According to Berita Harian, the incident happened around 4:15 PM while the 6-year-old girl was playing alone at the back of the house her mom rented.

The tragic incident unfolded when the 6-year-old girl died after getting trapped between the iron bars of a folding table.

It’s believed that at the time, the child’s mom, along with the victim’s 9-year-old and 10-year-old siblings, were all inside the house.

They only became aware of what had happened when they realised the incident after not hearing any sound, and went outside to check, finding the victim unconscious.

They then sought help from neighbours to send the victim to the hospital, but the child was reported to have passed away while receiving treatment at the hospital.

The cause of death was confirmed by the police

The hospital then contacted the police to report the death, and the police rushed to the scene to conduct an investigation.

Meanwhile, Penang Police Chief Datuk Hamzah Ahmad confirmed the incident when contacted by Berita Harian.

The case is being investigated under Section 31(1) of the Child Act 2001.
