A video has been making waves online after a grandma was spotted casually cruising in a Honda Civic Type R with manual gear.
TikTok user @anas_mikael shared the amusing clip of his grandma confidently driving the high-performance car around Alor Setar, Kedah.
His grandma is 65 years old!
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Anas shared that he and his 65-year-old grandma were on their way back from Temerloh to Perlis when he started feeling exhausted upon reaching Alor Setar. That’s when he asked his grandma to take over the wheel.
“By the time we got to Alor Setar, I was really tired, so I asked my grandma to drive since she had plenty of rest and even took a nap while I was behind the wheel from Temerloh,” he said.
He also mentioned that before buying the car, he made sure to get his grandma’s blessing first. Once she gave him the green light, he went ahead with the purchase.
The car is only available in manual
Anas then pointed out that the Honda Civic FL5 Type R is only available in manual.
“This car only comes in manual, no automatic version, pure sports car, Honda Racing,” he said.
He also mentioned that the FL5 is a hot favourite among young people right now, which explains why the video went viral.
“The FL5 is super popular with young people, so seeing my grandma behind the wheel just made it blow up even more. But honestly, I recorded it by accident,” he added.
