The suspect was successfully arrested

Police and the Singapore Civil Defence Force (SCDF) confirmed receiving a call about the incident at around 8:30 PM, requesting assistance at Block 168, Lorong 1 Toa Payoh.

The suspect was later arrested for voluntarily causing hurt with a dangerous weapon. The victim was sent to the hospital and is currently being treated at Tan Tock Seng Hospital.

An eyewitness said he first saw the two men sitting with a couple at the coffee shop. Later, the men walked to a nearby HDB block, where one of them ended up sitting on the ground with what looked like a head wound.
