There are quite a lot of crocodiles in Sarawakian waters.

Just recently, some villagers who live near the Oya River in Dalat, Sarawak, had come across a floating body. When they approached it by boat, they saw that the floating body belongs to a 5.3 meters long crocodile.

According to social media posts, the crocodile is known as Bujang Gendut by the locals and the villagers brought the corpse back to land.

As of now, there is no official cause of death; the crocodile was dissected and they didn’t find anything out of the ordinary, only animal bones, rocks and a singular marble.

The Dalat district police chief, DSP Saga Chunggat, confirmed the case and said that corpse of the crocodile has been buried by the villagers at Kuala Batang Oya, reported Utusan Sarawak.

“It is up to the Sarawak Forety Corporation (SFC) to take the next steps such as measuring the crocodile, taking DNA samples, et cetera.”

5.3 meters is definitely a long, huge and maybe even old crocodile. May he rest in peace.
