A tragedy in Klang yesterday (February 24) took the life of a 46-year-old man, while his 13-year-old daughter escaped unhurt.
A tree fell on their Mercedes following a heavy downpour in Kampung Bukit Kuda, Klang yesterday.

Medical officers from the Ministry of Health (MOH) confirmed the death of the man, who was trapped inside the car during an incident that took place around 4:30 PM yesterday. His daughter, however, was rescued by the public before firefighters arrived. The girl did not sustain any injuries, as reported by Sinar Harian.
The Fire & Rescue Department from Southern Klang arrived at the scene in under 10 minutes and dispatched 6 personnel and a crane for the rescue mission. The firefighters had to cut the tree branches to remove the trapped body from inside the car.

The deceased victim, who was trapped in the driver’s seat was successfully removed from the car at 7:12 PM and was pronounced dead soon after the removal.
