Becoming a mother is never easy as there are so many things a first-time mum has to learn about caring for a baby. Most mothers often consult doctors, books, or other more experienced mothers to guide them on what they should or should not do, but there are some who follow their own understanding on how things should be done.

Recently, a 39-year-old Thai actress uploaded a video showing a milky red liquid in a breast pump bottle and a photo of blood clots on a dish on her Instagram.

She captioned the post, “Why is there a blood clot coming out?”

Some fans commented that they had faced the same issue before, while others were shocked and urged her to see a doctor.

The mother of a son and a daughter was told by the doctor that she had been using the breast pump incorrectly. The doctor said that the suction from the pump was too strong which caused the capillaries in her breast to break and her nipples to be cracked. As a result of this, the blood from the damaged capillaries then leaked into her breast milk.

“I misunderstood that pumping with the strongest pressure would clear my milk better and faster to prevent clogging,” she said.

“I was trying to endure the pain, thinking that it’s normal. But now I know that it is not necessary. I must admit that although I am a mother of two children, there are still a lot of things I don’t know yet.”

After consulting her doctor, she was assured that she could continue pumping breast milk as it wasn’t a serious problem. She then shared on her social media about her experience which shed light on the hardshipz of breastfeeding.

That looks really painful! We have to commend her for not giving up despite going through all that. I’m sure she will be a great mum.
