In recent news shared via @mynewshub, a 32-year-old Pakistani man tragically passed away during his visit to a food festival in Kuala Selangor.
According to reports by Harian Metro, the victim tragically lost his life after being electrocuted while holding a tent iron at one of the stalls.
He was found unconscious on the main stage
Acting Kuala Selangor District Police Chief, Deputy Superintendent Mohd Ambia Nordin, shared that they received news about the incident around 8:50 pm on August 27th.
When the police arrived at the scene, they found the 32-year-old victim lying unconscious on the main stage.
The incident happened while the victim was holding the iron bar of a tent at one of the stalls, which tragically led to him being electrocuted and passing out.
After the shock, the victim was quickly moved to a nearby stage, where first aid was administered.
The incident happened during a heavy downpour
Mohd Ambia mentioned that members of the public who were interviewed revealed that the incident occurred during heavy rain, with traders and visitors present in the same area.
He also noted that the carnival, which began on August 16 and ran for 2 weeks, had received approval from the Kuala Selangor Municipal Council (MPKS).
“The body was taken to Tanjong Karang Hospital for an autopsy, and the cause of death was confirmed to be electric shock,” he added.
