A 30-year-old man and a 28-year-old woman were found dead in Kedah last night (11 September), both with stab wounds. The police believe that both were murdered.
Yan District Police Chief, Superintendent Mohd Hamizi Abdullah, said they received information about the incident at 9:40 PM and believe the murders took place earlier, as reported by Harian Metro.

Police are looking into the connection between the two victims
According to Mohd Hamizi, the woman was found inside a Proton Wira parked in front of a house, while the man was discovered lying on the road in Taman Nona.
“Police believe the stab wounds were caused by a sharp object. The case is still under investigation, including how the incident unfolded and led to their deaths,” he said.
He added that police are also looking into the relationship between the two. The man is believed to be from Yan, while the woman is from Sungai Petani.

No arrests have been made so far
The bodies of both victims were later sent to the Forensic Department of Sultanah Bahiyah Hospital (HSB) in Alor Setar for further action.
“We are still investigating where they were heading at the time and the motive behind the incident. So far, no arrests have been made in connection with the incident, and the investigation is still ongoing,” he said.
The case is being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code.
