A video has recently gone viral showing a vehicle pursuit by the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) at Kuala Lumpur International Airport (KLIA) Terminal 1.
In the clip, a red Honda Civic is seen ramming into several vehicles in a desperate attempt to escape a trailing PDRM patrol car.


Suspect apprehended
In a recent update, BERNAMA reported that the incident took place yesterday (31 March) at approximately 4:30 PM, with police successfully arresting the local driver with prior criminal records.
According to KLIA District Police Chief ACP M Ravi, PDRM personnel were carrying out crime prevention patrols at the time and attempted to stop the Honda Civic driven by the 30-year-old suspect.
“However, the driver refused to pull over for inspection. He then tried to flee towards the KLIA terminal Level 3 route, colliding with five vehicles along the way before he was eventually apprehended near the scene,” he said.

The suspect has 31 prior criminal records
Checks found that the suspect has 31 prior criminal records, along with a drug-related offence for which he is still wanted by the police.
He added that the suspect will be brought to the Sepang Court today (31 March) for a remand application.
The case is being investigated under Section 186 of the Penal Code for obstructing a public servant in the discharge of their duties, Section 427 of the Penal Code for causing damage, as well as Section 15(1) of the Dangerous Drugs Act 1952 and other related traffic offences.
