This is sad!

Utusan Borneo just reported that a disabled girl (OKU) became pregnant because authorities suspect that she had been raped by her neighbour. Oh dear, that unfortunate girl!

The 24-year-old girl gave birth in Sarawak’s General Hospital on 18th July 2019 (Thursday). What makes this case even sadder is that her mother and family didn’t know she was raped until she gave birth.

Following the birth of her child, the mother of the victim quickly lodged a police report at the Police Headquarters of Serian yesterday (25th July 2019).

The report further revealed that the victim has learning disabilities and the authorities suspect that she was raped by her 17-year-old neighbour in Kampung Jenan, Sarawak.

Serian’s chief police DSP Aswandy Anis was quoted as saying,

“We are trying to locate the suspect who has escaped and the case is being investigated under Section 376 of The Penal Code.”

Well, we hope that the police will get to the bottom of this case as soon as possible and justice will be served for the poor victim. The pain that the girl has to endure is unimaginable.
