We can’t always get what we want. But we should always be grateful for what others give to us, even if it’s not always a gift we’re particularly excited about. Because at the end of the day, it’s the thought that counts, isn’t it? Well, that doesn’t seem to be the case for this privileged son.
A 22-year-old man from New Delhi who had reportedly received a BMW car as a birthday gift from his parents, dumped the vehicle into the river because he was not given the Jaguar car he requested.
The BMW reportedly costs a total of 3.5 million rupees (RM206,167), while a Jaguar car is typically more expensive, amounting a total of around 5 million rupees (RM294,521).
The ungrateful son allegedly pushed the car into the river as a sign of protest. He then proceeded to take a video of the dumped vehicle before sending it to his parents and posting it on social media.
The stunt has since received many disgusted responses from netizens who are appalled at the man’s disrespectful actions.
In the video, the car was spotted floating in the river before it was caught on a cliff face. After several hours, the car was fished out of the water with the help of villagers, divers, and an earth-moving machine.
Details of the incident are still being investigated by authorities.
We can’t imagine how this kid’s parents must feel about the way their son reacted to his gift. From this, we’re reminded that we should always be grateful for the sacrifices our parents make to afford a better life for us.
