The father, Md Zarif, said that at the time of the incident, the youngest of the five siblings was sleeping on the bed with him and his wife.

“I woke up and found my child had vomited milk but his lips were blue. I tried to pat the back of his body but my child did not react.

“My wife and I immediately took him to a private hospital. The hospital staff gave respiratory assistance before confirming that my child had died,” he said at Tuanku Jaafar Hospital today.

According to him, his son was only allowed to leave the hospital yesterday afternoon, after being held in the ward last Wednesday due to repeated fever as well as no appetite.

He said the medical report also found that his son was in good condition.

“I am relieved with the provisions of Allah SWT. However, we are still sad because we just celebrated his birthday last month,” he said.

Meanwhile, Seremban District Police Chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Said Ibrahim confirmed the incident and the case was classified as sudden death.
