A 17-year-old boy from Singapore has been charged with allegedly forcing his former schoolmate to perform degrading acts, with the help of another individual.
The two were handed four and two charges, respectively. According to CNA, the two accused youths also allegedly extorted money from the victim by threatening to share compromising videos of him.

The offences were committed for more than a year
The first youth faces four charges: distributing intimate recordings, cheating, dishonestly inducing the delivery of property (allegedly in conspiracy with the second accused), and extortion (also allegedly in conspiracy with the second accused).
The offences reportedly took place over the span of more than a year.
Between February and December 2023, the first accused allegedly tricked his former schoolmate into believing he was communicating with a woman on Instagram.

The accused allegedly coerced the victim into performing seven degrading acts, while also making him give them gift cards and S$390 (RM1,288). These acts reportedly included;
- Soaking his genitals in a bowl of chilli oil for two minutes
- Rubbing salt on his genitals
- Consuming his own urine
- Performing a sexual act on camera
- Playing football while naked
- Cutting and burning his own hair with a lighter
- Eating a mix of butter, cheese, and cili padi
Additionally, between February and June 2023, the accused is said to have distributed intimate recordings of the victim.
In July 2023, he allegedly conspired with the other teen to extort S$2,450 (RM8,097) from the victim by threatening to release videos of him performing a sexual act.
The accused also faces a final charge for working with the same accomplice to trick the victim into believing a gang leader was demanding money. As a result, the victim allegedly handed over S$300 (RM991) in May last year.

The first teen pleaded not guilty
After being formally charged, the primary accused pleaded not guilty. His case was adjourned to July 16 to allow his lawyer time to make representations.
In the meantime, he was granted bail with several conditions, including staying with his parents, attending school regularly, and wearing an electronic tag.
Meanwhile, the co-accused faces two charges for conspiring in the extortion and another for the cheating offence involving the fabricated story about a gang leader.
He expressed his intention to plead guilty and is scheduled to do so on July 30. He was also released on bail under the same set of conditions.
