A 14-year-old boy almost lost 2 fingers on his right hand in an incident that took place at Machang, Kelantan on Friday (March 14), where a ball-shaped firecracker had exploded in his hand before he could throw it.
However, his stepmother only found out about the injury the next day when the teenager complained about something else.

His mother did not know
According to a report by BERNAMA, the boy’s stepmother, 24-year-old Siti, shared that she had only become aware of the incident the next day (March 15), when the teenager had complained about having a headache.

“He complained to a cousin that he was having a headache before I noticed the injury to his hand. We immediately rushed to the Machang Hospital to receive treatment,”
“The index finger and middle finger of his right hand suffered severe injuries, causing broken and crushed bones. We were referred to the Sultan Ismail Petra Hospital in Kuala Krai for further treatment,” she said.
So far, no police reports have been made about this matter.
