The Kuala Lumpur Zoo is truly a gem worth exploring when you’re in this lively city. This national zoo adopts an open concept, focusing on conservation, recreation, education, and research, with a diverse range of animal and plant species, including those that are endangered and exotic.
In a heartwarming story, a 10-year-old boy named Krishyenn, who runs a YouTube channel called “Krish Gaming, Reacts And Vlogs,” recently shared his visit to Zoo Negara. He warmly recounted his personal experience during the trip.
Speaking to WORLD OF BUZZ, Rivarthini, Krishyenn’s older cousin, revealed that the national zoo faces challenges, being somewhat rundown at times due to insufficient funds for maintenance and the care of the animals.
“The idea originated when my older brother, Vishallan Cheliyen, was brainstorming ideas for a birthday outing. Instead of the usual trend of heading to fancy restaurants or throwing extravagant parties, he suggested a visit to the national zoo for a refreshing change. It was an alternative that allowed us to enjoy a different experience with our siblings and immediate relatives, including cousins and aunts.”
Krishyenn suggested that he shoot a vlog during the trip as it was also his first time to a zoo, hoping that our fellow Malaysians will view his vlog, get a glimpse of the zoo and eventually try and support by visiting more.
Rivarthini also shared that during the trip, they had a whole trivia session to understand the life span, interesting traits and behavior of the animals.
Krishyenn always mentions that the social media is a great platform to share knowledge and experiences and he isn’t afraid to put himself out there, he is truly a bundle of joy and the kindest kid in the family.
He sometimes shares his gaming experiences, one of his best interest as well.
Rivarthini expressed, “He is at the very beginning of his YouTube journey, and I’m hopeful that he will continue to thrive, sharing his passion and joy while giving back to the community.”

Krish aims to inspire both Malaysians and tourists to frequent Zoo Negara, fostering a stronger connection with the attraction. We anticipate that he will continue to serve as an inspiration, encouraging fellow Malaysians to explore and appreciate the national zoo as much as he does.
