1. Tomorrowland
The mother of all EDM festivals, Tomorrowland is a festival that takes place annually in Boom, Belgium about the month of July. Spanning over 3 days, the enormous festival captivates festival goers with its amazing lineups and elaborate set ups. It has attracted over 400,000 attendees last year and In 2013, Full madness passes sold out in 35 minutes after its launch and other remainder tickets were sold out in a reported one second.
2. Electric Daisy Carnival
Founded by Insomniac Events, EDC is massive festival which attracts people with exceptional visuals and ear ecstasy. The festival stretches through numerous states in the US in the month of June to August, and what used to be a one day event turned into an epic 3 days of raving. EDC has been hosted in several countries which includes across the US, UK, Puerto Rico and Mexico.
3. Electric Forest Festival
Having EFF take place in a rather highend resort, the Double JJ Ranch, the festival has an Alice in Wonderland vibe to it. Festival goers walk among trees surrounded by interactive art displays and extravagant lights which accentuates the otherworldly feel. The festival is held about the end of June or early July annually.
4. Ultra Music Festival
Founded all the way back in year 1999, UMF is known for its good party locations, with even greater DJ lineups. The main UMF is held in Miami, whereas other Ultra festivals include Ibiza, Sao Paulo, Tokyo, Seoul and many more. Started as a one-day event, UMF grew (like many other music festivals) into a three-day music madness.
5. Amsterdam Dance Event
Spreading over an insane five days, ADE is a festival and conference which is held annually about mid-October. It’s not just a single event, over those 5 days, ADE holds a total of 450 events, 2,200 artists in over 115 clubs and venues. Having established since 1996, you are sure to be awed by the spectacular pyrotechnics, state of the art visuals and immense eargasm.
6. Stereosonic
Stereosonic held its first festival in 2007, which is then organised annually about the end of November or early December. The festival is based in Australia and since 2009, it was held in 5 cities, of them are Perth, Brisbane, Melbourne, Adelaide and Sydney.
7. Awakenings Festival
A little towards the techno and harder-edged house music, Awakenings Festival presents DJs such as Sven Vath, Chris Liebing, Ricardo Villalobos and Richie Hawtin for a guaranteed sick bass dropping, head pumping weekend. It is hosted annually in Spaarnwoude, Netherlands.
8. Sensation White
Sensation White Started exclusively in Amsterdam ArenA until 2005, Sensation White is now included in multiple countries of which include Belgium, Canada, US, Brazil, Germany, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. As its name perceives, all event goers are required to wear white to the festival, which is actually quite cool. This year, the event is to be held on 4th of July.
9. Imagine Music Festival
IMF is an annual festival held around August with the artsy and cirque atmosphere living up to the festival name, ‘Imagine’. Organisers of the IMF focus on the playfulness, wild attitudes, and freedom to express oneself, so one can only imagine the immense fun and hype you’d be when attending this festival.
Tribute: Future Music Festival
FMF is held annually about late February or early March in Australia since 2006. The festival run across all 5 major cities (Perth, Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne and Sydney). In 2012, the festival was brought to Kuala Lumpur as FMF Asia for three years before both FMF and FMFA was discontinued in 2015.
