Back when we (millennials) were younger, we spent most of our time on 9Gag and MSN. We would always remember seeing badly spelled and poorly constructed questions and answers on Yahoo Answers. Sometimes, the absurdity of the content will make us laugh and to date, there are still people sharing these screenshots.
Unfortunately, as time has gone by and we’ve gradually moved on, Yahoo Answers will be saying goodbye by shutting down forever.
According to the website, Yahoo Answers announced that they will be shutting down completely on 4 May 2021 (Eastern Time), users who try to access the site will be redirected to the Yahoo main page. On 20 April 2021 (Eastern Time), the Yahoo Answers website will be in read-only mode and users will not be able to submit new questions and answers.
Users will be able to download the questions and answers that they posted by signing into “Your Privacy Dashboard” and requesting a download. You will be able to do this until 30 June 2021 after which your Yahoo Answers data will be securely deleted and no longer available.
This is truly the end of an era and we will always remember these questions that were asked:
