As old or as empty as it may appear, an unoccupied house doesn’t mean it has been empty forever. It’s best NOT to do anything in someone else’s personal space, even if they don’t use it.
A woman in Indonesia recently returned home after being away for 1 month, and she was surprised to find out that her porch had been turned into a garden to plant and grow chillies, which is the handiwork of her neighbour, as revealed via her TikTok post, @wiwinsya.
According to the residents nearby, they had reminded the neighbour countless times not to do anything in the woman’s porch. Unfortunately, their advice and reminders were ignored and the man continued to treat the house as his chilli garden. He even told other residents that he would personally tell the woman if he saw her.
Of course, that did not happen and the woman is disappointed with his ignorance.
“My other house is not even far from here,” she said.
The woman also said that she could’ve just removed the pots and plants from the place but she did not, because “it’s manners and she wanted to wait for the owner of the plants”.
She added that the house was bought last year and she would visit the house every 2 weeks but this time, she only returned after 1 month. She explained that due to her absence to take care of the house, the interior part of the premises looked old.
“I also don’t have the budget for renovation.”
In the end, the woman decided to let the matter go but insisted that it reflects on one’s manners to ask for permission before using someone else’s space for gardening.

If your personal space at home was used for gardening purposes, even when you rarely go home, would you find yourself tolerating it?
