A Malaysian woman and her 11-year-old daughter were found dead in their rented home, believed to have been murdered.
The woman’s body was discovered in the kitchen with her head nearly severed, while her daughter was found on the second floor in a pool of blood.

The tragic discovery was made at around 7:30 PM yesterday (18 October) in Kampung Juru, Seberang Perai, Penang. According to an anonymous neighbour, the mother and daughter had only recently moved into the house.
Penang Police Chief Datuk Azizee Ismail confirmed the incident, which involved the 51-year-old woman and her daughter.

Husband arrested by PDRM
The 57-year-old husband claimed he returned home to find the gate open before discovering the bodies of his wife and daughter. He immediately alerted the police. A voice note, believed to be his, has since circulated on social media, in which he is heard telling his employer:
“Assalamualaikum, Abang Daus. I can’t make it to work tomorrow. My wife and daughter were murdered.”
This morning (19 October), the Royal Malaysia Police (PDRM) confirmed that the husband has been arrested and will be remanded until 25 October to assist in the investigation. However, police have yet to confirm whether he is the main suspect, according to reports from Harian Metro and Malaysia Gazette.
A knife, believed to be the murder weapon, was found in the bushes near the house. The case is currently being investigated under Section 302 of the Penal Code for murder.
