Female passengers in Johor were left shocked after their e-hailing driver showed up wearing only underwear, which they immediately noticed after boarding the car.
The situation made the passengers uncomfortable and frightened, prompting one of them to urge the driver to put on his shirt. He eventually complied, but only halfway through the journey while the car was still in motion. Even after putting on his shirt, the driver was reportedly still not wearing any pants.

In an interview with Shin Min Daily News, the e-hailing company confirmed that the driver’s work profile and account have been blocked. According to the company’s spokesperson, immediate action was taken after a complaint was received.
At the time of writing, the driver no longer has access to his account, and the company has contacted the affected passengers to provide assistance.
The spokesperson reiterated that such behaviour would not be tolerated.

“We will not tolerate any behaviour that affects passengers’ safety, comfort, or dignity,” the spokesperson said.
“Passengers’ safety and well-being remain our utmost priority, and they are encouraged to report any issues through the app so that we can take appropriate action.”
The passenger involved in the incident also reminded others to remain cautious when travelling to Johor.
