As proud and loyal citizens, most Malaysians would simply stop what they are doing and stand straight as a sign of respect when the national anthem is played especially in a formal setting.

But what would happen if it were played randomly? What about when the Negaraku is blared in full swing at a famous eatery?

We have the answer.

Taking to Twitter, @Dean24924388 shared footage of Malaysians standing up and respecting the national anthem, leaving us feeling all warm inside.

Beginning the video with, “How would Malaysians react if the Negaraku is played in random?”

“This just goes to show that as Malaysian, no matter where we are, we are all patriots at heart.”

Netizens commenting on the video also shared the same sentiment, expressing their pride at how patriotic Malaysians can be.

Let’s hope that this attitude is shared among all Malaysians, especially as we celebrate our independence day on the 31st of August and 16th September every year.
