When it comes to Teacher’s Day, educators receive many things from their students.
However, this clip that we saw on Facebook really tugged at our heartstrings when these students gave their teachers some produce.
The 49-second video starts with a child giving their teacher a handmade bouquet. Other children also gave their teacher packets of green produce.
In the later part of the video, we can see the gifts in more detail.
The bouquet turned out to be a mix of produce such as ginger flowers, pucuk ubi, paku pakis ferns and chillies wrapped up nicely in several pieces of banana leaves.
The produce in the bags turned out to be mangoes.
This heartwarming interaction took place at SK Pos Bersih in Perak. In the comment section, the school thanked the children’s parents for plucking the precious produce to be given to the teachers.
Many netizens loved this and said they could feel the sincerity of the children.
“The bouquet with the bunga kantan, pucuk and chillies was really pretty. It’s creative and genuine.”
Another touched netizen shared, “Don’t just look at what they gave but look at how sincere their gift was. That’s what makes it valuable. Hope that these children will be great people next time. Amen.”
A teacher added to the post with their experience: “I teach in the rural areas, and whenever Teacher’s Day comes along, the mothers will come and gift us rice that they planted themselves. I felt really appreciated.”
This brought tears to our eyes! What is the best gift that you have received and why? Let us know in the comments.
