On the morning of April 3, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck the east coast of Taiwan.
As of the time of writing, the death toll is at 13 people with more than 1,145 injuries.
Videos and photos of the earthquake circulated on different social media platforms. However, one particular video that has gone viral caught our attention.
It is unknown who originally uploaded the 30-second clip, but in this video, several nurses are spotted rushing into a hospital’s newborn unit to protect the newborn babies.
At first, there were only 3 nurses and they worked together to push the babies to the center of the room.
Another nurse then joined in to hold the babies together while the hospital rocked dangerously.
Even when the quake seemed to be reaching its crescendo, they remained calm and made sure the babies were safe.
In the later part of the video, the nurse who came in for a short while ran out again, undoubtedly to lend a helping hand where she was more needed.
Many netizens in the comments commended the nurses for remaining calm and not running away even when it got dangerous.
