Foreign objects on roads can cause accidents, but humans on highways can cause the same thing.

In a viral video on TikTok, two Malaysian men were spotted on the Federal Highway trying to slow down the traffic.

One of them was wearing a reflective vest, while another, an amputee, was seen in front, trying to get vehicles to slow down.

Once he had a chance, the man in the reflective vest ran to grab the piece of busted tyre on the road.

He then made it back safely, and the whole process took a little over 30 minutes. According to the captions, this took place on May 22.

Many netizens were appreciative of the Malaysians for helping to clear out the road.

“Thank you, kind person.”

“I almost lost control (of my car) yesterday night cause I hit this thing on the highway,” said a user.

Other netizens were worried about their safety and wondered if there was a safer way to do this.

“This is dangerous. You should have called the people who manage the roads. They are well-equipped with tools and knowledge. Sometimes, we have good intentions, but the execution is not that right. Please be safe.”

Another user commented, “You must stand by a red flag in your car for safety.”

All in all, this is certainly a selfless act on their part. What is your take on this? Let us know in the comments.
