As a road user, we all know that vehicles are required to clear a lane for emergency vehicles, but because of imminent congestion, many are now reluctant to let emergency vehicles through.

Realising this fact, one 4×4 driver took it upon himself to help clear the road for an ambulance to go through, all of which was caught on the ambulance’s camera onboard.

Taking to TikTok, here is @papamayya‘s video.

In the video, a blue 4×4 took the reigns by putting on his hazard lights and drove about one lamp post length in front, to help clear the lane for them.

As the roads were less than convenient for the ambulance to speed, the vehicle finally let the ambulance through, with the ambulance driver thanking him for his assistance.

Netizens commenting on the TikTok video, commended the 4×4 driver for helping out.

“The 4×4 driver is truly the best. The driver must be experienced in escorting official vehicles.”

Good job man!

Let’s hope that as Malaysians, we continue to show how responsible we are on the road by prioritising emergency vehicles on the road.
